100% Renewables Roadmap for Avellaneda, Argentina

The Municipality of Avellaneda, along with ICLEI Argentina, ICLEI América do Sul, and the ICLEI World Secretariat, developed the city’s 100% Renewables Roadmap.

Avellaneda plans to make use of the potential of improved energy efficiency, expand innovation within its territory, and take advantage of its large bioenergy potential, particularly to fulfil its high industrial energy demand and transport demand.

Who are we?

ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is a global network working with more than 2500 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development.

The 100% Renewables Cities and Regions Roadmap is implemented by ICLEI and funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI), which is implemented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) and the Federal Foreign Office (AA).
