Kenya’s energy landscape has undergone a significant change in the past few decades. This report analyzes the potential of renewable energy and shows opportunities in transitioning towards 100% renewables in Kenya.

Who are we?

ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is a global network working with more than 2500 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development.

The 100% Renewables Cities and Regions Roadmap is implemented by ICLEI and funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI), which is implemented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) and the Federal Foreign Office (AA).
